Undergrad Waitlist

The Undergraduate Waitlist open on a quarterly basis.  Students need to apply each quarter they are in need of housing.  Contracts are offered based on date in which you applied, the gender of roommates in the space available, available spaces and room type, and the location of the vacancy.  Students are responsible for updating their information through the waitlist form.  If you are no longer in need of housing, please use the button below to login and remove yourself from the waitlist.

Waitlist Closes:  October 28, 2024

Winter 2024 Quarter:

Waitlist Opens:  11/2/2023 
Waitlist Closes:  2/19/2024 at 11:59pm

Weekly Update for the week of 2/26/24: Winter Quarter waitlist has closed.  If you currently need housing now, please email ucsdhousing@ucsd.edu with your name and PID. 

Spring 2024 Quarter:

Waitlist Opens:  2/23/2024
Waitlist Closes:  5/5/2024 at 11:59pm

Wweekly Update for the week of 4/29/24: Spring Quarter waitlist is open till Sunday, May 5th!  After that, if you need immediate on-campus housing for the remainder of Spring Quarter, please email ucsdhousing@ucsd.edu with your PID and name.

If you are a new incoming first-year student or transfer student for Fall 2024, do not get on the Spring Quarter waitlist.  This is not for you and not the process you should be following.  

Off Campus Resource:

• The number one resource is the Off-Campus Housing website, a resource available only to UC San Diego affiliates with a single sign-on account. The site features current listings, house hunting tips and a roommate finder tool.
• Students can also join the Facebook group for the Associated Students Office of Food and Housing Resources to connect with other students who need a roommate or who may have a room, apartment or house to rent.
• Another helpful housing guide can be found on the Office of Food & Housing Resources website.
