Undergrad Waitlist
The Undergraduate Waitlist open on a quarterly basis. Students need to apply each quarter they are in need of housing. Contracts are offered based on date in which you applied, the gender of roommates in the space available, available spaces and room type, and the location of the vacancy. Students are responsible for updating their information through the waitlist form. If you are no longer in need of housing, please use the button below to login and remove yourself from the waitlist.

Understanding the Undergraduate Waitlist
Fall 2024 Quarter:
Waitlist Opens: Reopened October 7, 2024
Waitlist Closes: October 19, 2024
Update October 7, 2024: The Fall 2024 Housing Waitlist has opened again. We have availability in triple and mini double spaces at the moment. If you have any questions or concerns please email us at ucsdhousing@ucsd.edu. If you are already on the waitlist, please update your information or remove yourself if you no longer need on-campus housing.
We've started making offers from the waitlist based on available space. This is an on-going process and offers may not necessarily reflect your preference. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee that you will receive an offer so continue to keep all options open including off-campus housing.
If you are in need of housing, please visit the Off Campus Housing Website for helpful resources and tools related to finding a place to live.

Off Campus Resource:
- The number one resource is the Off-Campus Housing website, a resource available only to UC San Diego affiliates with a single sign-on account. The site features current listings, house hunting tips and a roommate finder tool.
- Students can also join the Facebook group for the Associated Students Office of Food and Housing Resources to connect with other students who need a roommate or who may have a room, apartment or house to rent.
- Another helpful housing guide can be found on the Office of Food & Housing Resources website.
