Undergrad Waitlist

The Undergraduate Waitlist open on a quarterly basis.  Students need to apply each quarter they are in need of housing.  Contracts are offered based on date in which you applied, the gender of roommates in the space available, available spaces and room type, and the location of the vacancy.  Students are responsible for updating their information through the waitlist form.  If you are no longer in need of housing, please use the button below to login and remove yourself from the waitlist.

Understanding the Undergraduate Waitlist

Fall 2024 Quarter:

Waitlist Opens:  July 9, 2024
Waitlist Closes:  October 28, 2024

Update July 16, 2024:  The Fall Undergraduate Waitlist  is open. Please allow up to 7 business days for your waitlist number to be created after you've submitted it.   Once we have available vacancies, we will reach out via email ---- its typically a short turnaround so please pay attention to your UCSD email.  As offers are made, your waitlist number will change.  Being on the waitlist does not guarantee that we will be able to offer you a space.  We may make offers based on what's available and not necessarily your preference.

Students that submitted a waitlist application between 7/9 and 7/16 have received a waitlist number.  Login  to see your waitlist number within the application.

Off Campus Resource:

  • The number one resource is the Off-Campus Housing website, a resource available only to UC San Diego affiliates with a single sign-on account. The site features current listings, house hunting tips and a roommate finder tool.
  • Students can also join the Facebook group for the Associated Students Office of Food and Housing Resources to connect with other students who need a roommate or who may have a room, apartment or house to rent.
  • Another helpful housing guide can be found on the Office of Food & Housing Resources website.
